Timeshare Wholesaler editorial standards

Our buyer guides and marketplace pages are intended to help buyers understand the specific ownership being considered. We separate general education from ownership-specific facts and avoid filling gaps with guesses.

How we verify information

For resort, brand, transfer, fee, and ownership information, we prefer current first-party records when available. These can include resort or management-company websites, governing or transfer documents, ownership certificates, deeds, account statements, estoppels, paid-in-full letters, and other records tied to the specific ownership. Government and established consumer sources are used when they are the better authority for a legal, recording, or consumer-protection topic.

A marketplace listing is not treated as proof of a fact that should be confirmed by the resort or current ownership records. If an important detail cannot be verified confidently, we prefer to leave it unstated or tell the buyer what should be confirmed.

How we handle dates and freshness

Each buyer guide has a recorded publication date and last-modified date. The modified date changes when the guide receives a meaningful content update, such as new research, revised guidance, corrected facts, or a substantial expansion. We do not change dates merely to make an unchanged article appear newer.

Fees, transfer requirements, program benefits, reservation rules, and resort procedures can change. Current resort or program documentation should take priority over a general guide when you are evaluating a specific ownership.

Ownership-specific accuracy

Timeshares at the same resort can differ by deed, unit, week, season, points allocation, use year, frequency, club enrollment, fees, and resale eligibility. Our guides explain the concepts, while listing and resort pages are designed to surface the details available for the exact ownership.

Contract numbers, account numbers, unit information, owner names, and other document-specific facts are not inferred when the source is unclear. A missing or uncertain fact should be verified from a clearer ownership record rather than guessed.

Corrections and updates

When we identify a material error, we correct the affected page and update the last-modified date when the correction changes the substance of the guide. If you believe a guide or marketplace page contains outdated or inaccurate information, contact our team with the page and the supporting information so it can be reviewed.

Educational information

Buyer guides provide general educational information. They are not a substitute for legal, tax, title, financial, or other professional advice when a transaction requires it. The governing documents, applicable law, recorded instruments, and current resort requirements control the specific ownership.
